I got married in June (yay!) and am now changing my name and the name of my business. It is kind of a pain but it's also nice to get a fresh start. I am going through a re-branding for Tessa Lykins Photography and so have to change all of my stationary and business cards. Here are three ideas for the backs of my cards and I need help deciding which is best. Any ideas, suggestions, etc? The front of my cards with have one of my own photographs, these are just the back ideas. Thanks! Don't mind the missing 'e' in the URL...these are rough drafts.
Hello, Tessa -- it's Allison (and I'll feel weird if this says that in my comment anyway but whatever)! I am taking this opportunity to do what I do best (except not): butt in with unsolicited advice! Anyway, I'm a big fan of the first one. Tentatively, I want to say it's because it's the one with the least amount of separation between the text block and the graphic (which is lovely, by the by). Also, the size of the image in comparison to the text block is nice. I also think that having the vertical business card orientation is a very contemporary presentation and although I may not be super-familiar with your portfolio, I still feel it matches you as a person quite nicely.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what you choose, though, I'm sure it'll be great. Good luck!
I like the second most. I feel like in the first one, most of the focus is on the graphic rather than on your name and information. In the third one, I'm not a fan of the big empty space between your name and phone number.
ReplyDeleteThanks you guys those comments are very helpful! I look forward to more comments from fellow blog readers and friends :) More photos and updates to come!
ReplyDeleteTessa, I have to admit I completely disagree with the previous comments. I think, for a horizontal business card ESPECIALLY, you need to go with the last one.
ReplyDeleteIt's the strongest, anyway. :) I like it very much.
